They are a great plant to grow in summer they grow tall like sunflowers can reach heights of to 2metres! They grow in clumps, and are a wonderful back drop to your garden. The bees go mad for them! And the best bit? You can eat them! The edible artichoke bit is the tuber in winter when the plant dies back, you can dig the tubers up and eat them! Baked, roasted, and my favourite in soup.
