When I want to walk uptown or downtown quickly in Manhattan

From my earliest cityscape paintings inspired by Baltimore (I called Maryland home when I first began my painting career)

sort of like focusing a camera

Striking Gold Knoxville When I visit ManhattanGreat colors, deep shadows, and a wonderful vantage point made possible by a late summer drought drew me to this subject along the Middle Prong River in the Great Smoky Mountains. Unusually low water levels on the river enabled me to get this view by clambering out onto the stream boulders for a whole new perspective. This landscape emerged from a smaller initial study, Study, Striking Gold.
