The brown paint is clearly very old and it does appear that the kit was raw aluminum before it was painted so it is possible that the brown is period work

There are a lot of moth holes on both and a rather large tear near the side seam on one

This was destined for my own truppenfahrrad

There is also a small hole near the waist
