In 1885 they were registered at Rockingham Street, Sheffield, relocating premises to Garden Street in 1892. Then Sheaf Plate Works in 1940 and eventually in 1950 to their final premises in 1950 at London Road, Sheffield. The firm used the trade name Duraplate before becoming a Ltd. and then Academy Plate and Consort during the 1950s
