Tennessee Thunder Knoxville This was the case duringEast Tennessee falls into a subtropical climate designation, a detail that surprised me when I moved here from Pennsylvania several years ago. Our whopper summer thunderstorms captivate me and I caught this panoramic just a few moments from the Knoxville airport during a July evening. The massive scale of the cloud formation over the landscape drew me immediately.
