Native to the tropical forests in Central and South America, its one of those species that just stands out, especially the males, with their electric blue feathers, black wings, and, of course, their flashy red legs. The females are more subtle, mostly green with a hint of blue, which actually helps them blend in a bit better in the forest. The males, though, get even more colorful during mating
