It seems to have been used both during and after the war

This makes it a perfect mine to use for reenacting

so I would be careful not to put too much stress on it

Marked Sterling on the back. Nice statement piece. It does have some overall wear and tarnishing discoloration. This pin was made different branch insignia on the hat (Navy, Army, Air Corps, Marines, etc).
