Splendid Fairywren-male fresh flowers sometimes a bit coolerAs I was painting this bird series, I found several darling bird photos on Pinterest that I used as inspiration for each of these paintings. Imagine my surprise when I'd painted them all and went back to see if I could determine what kind of bird each one was, only to discover that I'd painted both a male and female Splendid Fairywren! Their photos didn't look alike at all, but I'm thrilled to have painted one of each! Such a darling little bird
