Sakiori Kotatsugake - Edo Era Indigo Rug patchwork Sleeve to sleeve: 49Indigo sakiori kotatsugake, or hearth cover. 'Sakiori' is a woven fabric that is produced from worn out cloth and garments torn thinly and then woven tightly into clothing and other products for daily use. This kotatsugake has a very rich and handsome quality variegated hues of indigo from years of use and subtle red and white stripes. A lot of consideration went into the creation of this piece. In overall very good condition, considering it's age.
