TALL YELLOW BEAUTY ON THE PRAIRIE FROST A reflection of Hallett Peak

A reflection of Hallett Peak and Flattop Mountain onto a calm and peaceful Dream Lake during the early morning hours on this August day in Rocky Mountain National Park

I had been focusing on the large landscape scenes of wildflowers and sunrise all morning to this point

and close up subjects like this paper birch tree along with Wildflower Lake behind in black and white which adds a little more mystery and mood to the images

I awakened to a heavy fog outside and was up and out the door before 5:00 am to photograph the wildflowers

I used about half the height of the paper birch tree using the foliage as a canopy that covers almost the entire top half of the image
