Jean Baptiste Souillard Cornas Saint-Pierre 2017 sku_1457655 Made by expert New Zealand10 year old vines on the mid section of an east facing granitic rich plot are whole bunch pressed to give extra crunch and texture. Think a lighter expression of the appelation but of dense fuzzy damson fruit, river stones and beutiful precision. Red robe. There are cool, lead pencil, raspberry and vegetal notes on the nose, with cassis blackcurrant also. The palate is tight, streamlined, bears fine black juice.
