A thick heavy fog surrounds Wildflower Lake with the sun beginning to shine through the clouds as I make my way through the park
I set out to photograph this recent snowfall along Eakin Creek West on this 2nd day of the New Year
Before reaching the lake
A vibrant and colorful sunrise brightens the spring sky with Wildflower Lake absorbing the beautiful colors of the sky above
A trio of red-breasted mergansers spend a few hours swimming around Wildflower Lake diving occasionally looking for a meal of fish before they move northward on their spring migration
UP IN THE TREE TOPS WILDFLOWERS A thick heavy fog surroundsAfter photographing the wildflowers, I came upon these three (one off camera) green herons up in this dead peachleaf willow tree along Eakin Creek West at Wildflower Park. They were moving about the branches like they were having a good time but, perhaps they just wanted a height advantage to the creek in hopes of seeing prey below. (516 155)
