Description

I left the house around 4:30 am and headed to the Burnidge Forest Preserve

The freshly fallen snow and the frigid temperatures at 0F help create patterns of small lines across the lake leaving shadows behind before the sunlight begins to take over during this February morning at Wildflower Park

An image of canada geese in a tight formation with the hint of sunlight illuminating their wings

I was looking for some good wildflower composition to photograph with the sunrise and came upon this scene of queen anne's lace and eastern daisy fleabane

The morning of February 1 I just happened to get lucky with that moment of perfect lighting at Wildflower Lake

A MOMENT TO TAKE IN THE BEAUTY OF A WINTER SCENE IRONWEED (VERNONIA) I left the house aroundA recent snowfall covers this beautiful winter riparian landscape scene with box elder trees catching the snow on their branches that line the banks of Eakin Creek West at Wildflower Park. One thing I like about being outside in winter is the solitude that comes with it. There isn't anyone else around on the trails in which I can enjoy the fresh air and the beauty of the area, to leave me with my thoughts as I gaze out in awe of the majestic views
