Navy Coastal Division 11. During the Vietnam War, COSDIV 11 was a unit of the U. S. Navy's Coastal Surveillance Force. They patrolled Vietnam's coastal waters, earning them the nickname Numbah One Watchdog. Snoopy the dog symbolized the unit's role as a vigilant "watchdog" over the coastal areas. The use of Snoopy reflects a
