Villa Wolf Wachenheimer Belz Riesling Dry 2016 Bottle:1 Pour a glass of thisThe Belz vineyard, a Monopole of Villa Wolf, is one of the finest in the village of Wachenheim. It is the only site in the village with a significant amount of chalk (shell limestone) in the soil. The resulting wine is mineral driven and racy, with aromas of ripe yellow peach and Mirabelle plum followed by flavors of lemon, pink grapefruit and a haunting smokiness from the chalk. At its best with fresh seafood, green salads and Swiss cheeses.
