I knew I wanted to try a lightning bug of some kind and this was my first try - and I LOVE how it turned out

I could totally see this as an over the bed piece standing all on its own

Puffs have always been a way for me to incorporate vintage items with my modern fiber art which has been an adventure in giving old items new life while also supporting small fiber businesses with my yarn purchases

while also keeping it a little weird (and outside the mainstream) as is my goal with every piece

The vintage safety deposit box (so there may be a few nicks or dents here and there but it's truly beautiful) spoke to me as soon as I saw it and knew I wanted to try using it as a frame

The Olive Wood frame is a "seconds" quality meaning it may have some extra character (dents or nooks and crannies, cracks, chips, discoloration, holes, etc.) but to me it only adds to the charm and is part of the magic of reusing! These bowls are handmade in Turkey (Turkiye) from Olive Wood which do not require a tree to be cut, instead the wood is collected from the pruning
