More common on wall panel joints in larger shower builds, on seams where extra coverage gives you added confidence, and in some commercial applications where a wider waterproof strip is specified. Same KERDI construction throughout: modified polyethylene core with non woven polypropylene fleece on both sides. Bonds into thin set mortar. Waterproof once embedded.
