I offset the bird near the top of the frame to give it a cool modern feel and painting the background a shimmery silver makes the whole piece literally glow on the wall

The Olive Wood frame is a "seconds" quality meaning it may have some extra character (dents or nooks and crannies, cracks, chips, discoloration, holes, etc.) but to me it only adds to the charm and is part of the magic of reusing! These bowls are handmade in Turkey (Turkiye) from Olive Wood which do not require a tree to be cut, instead the wood is collected from the pruning
