It is a beautiful red lace leaf that seems to have an irregular growth habit. Its most unique feature however, is how late this tree emerges in the spring. This is where the name Anticipation comes from. Anticipation routinely waits until the middle to end of April here in Georgia to leaf out, easily the last cultivar at our nursery
