Bury olla in the center and sew seeds or arrange starts in a circle at a 6 9" radius away from the olla. If you live in a very dry area, adding mulch in addition to the olla should help a lot with heat tolerance and water retention. The photos in the listing are from an olla install I did in one of my garden beds. I placed four brussel spout starts
