I found the perfect spot to lean my bike against some desert brush and set up my easel

it was fun chasing the vines for interesting shadow patterns

gazing at the finished painting it still resonates and brings back such great memories

So rich in history and beauty that at every turn I couldn’t help but be amazed and full of wonder about this area’s past

Rise and shine Cars and Trucks As an added bonusThis spot was a place to camp we discovered in the hills near Sedona, Arizona. We wanted to be away from the crowds and be out where we could take in the views and, specifically, to be able to see the sun touch the hills in the evening and, as captured here, in the early morning. Looking at this painting, I am transported instantly to that morning when I set out (earlier than normal for me) so that I could capture in paint a magical moment in time. 8
