I noticed the low lying mist hovering over the prairie in the distance with box elder trees behind lining the banks of Eakin Creek West

There was one plant that I knew was in perfect condition from passing by it earlier that I wanted to photograph so

Cup plants grow abundantly around the South Fork Kishwaukee River and throughout much of Wildflower Park

I didn't plan on doing any close up photography of the wildflowers in the area

This area is unlike any other in Illinois with 18 canyons and many waterfalls
